Sen. Fran Millar Serves as Chaplain of the Day

franATLANTA (February 7, 2014) | Sen. Fran Millar (R—Atlanta) conducted the morning devotional in the Senate Chamber on Friday, February 7, 2014.

“I am honored to step in as Chaplain of the Day to address this distinguished legislative body,” said Sen. Millar. “It’s easy for us to get overwhelmed, but we must remember our many blessings and make it a point to thank God every day.”

Sen. Millar spoke to his fellow members of the Senate today about the importance of counting everyday as a blessing from God and relying upon His word. His message inspired senators to never give up, lose heart or stop trusting God’s plan.

“Today, we were honored to have our own Sen. Fran Millar to inspire each of us with a stirring devotional and prayer,” said Lt. Governor Casey Cagle.  “We are blessed to have laymen like Sen. Millar right here in the Senate, and I thank him for the inspirational message.”

Sen. Fran Millar represents the 40th Senate District, and is an active member of Dunwoody United Methodist Church.
