Sen. Greg Dolezal Ranked Among Georgia’s Most Effective Lawmakers During 2023-2024 Biennium

ATLANTA (May 5, 2025) — Chairman of the Senate Committee on Transportation Sen. Greg Dolezal (R–Cumming) was recently recognized as one of the most effective legislators in the Georgia General Assembly during the 2023-2024 Legislative Biennium. The nonpartisan evaluation conducted by the Center for Legislative Accountability (CLA) assigned Sen. Dolezal an effectiveness score of 2.09, more than twice the legislative average of 1.0.

Sen. Greg Dolezal Applauds Signing of ‘Riley Gaines Act of 2025’ into Law

ATLANTA (April 28, 2025) — Today, Governor Brian P. Kemp signed Senate Bill 1, the “Riley Gaines Act of 2025,” into law. This measure, sponsored by Sen. Greg Dolezal (R–Cumming), requires all public schools, participating private schools and public colleges in Georgia to designate sports teams as male, female or coed based on biological sex. It also prohibits biological males from competing on female teams and restricts access to restrooms, changing areas and overnight accommodations based on biological sex.
