ATLANTA (March 18, 2024) – Last week, Senate Bill 421 received final passage and awaits signature by Governor Brian P. Kemp. This measure, sponsored by the Senate Committee on Education and Youth Chairman Sen Clint Dixon (R–Gwinnett), would enhance the penalties for the offense of transmitting a false public alarm, while also enhancing penalties for the offense of drive-by-shootings and aggravated assault.
