ATLANTA (February 12, 2026) — This week, Sen. Blake Tillery’s (R–Vidalia) plan to eliminate the state income tax for two-thirds of Georgians, reduce the tax rate for the other third by over $5,000, and eventually eliminate the state income tax for everyone passed the Georgia Senate. Georgia families and small businesses will get tax relief while the budget priorities of the state are fully funded.
