The committee’s primary goal is to explore health system regulations implemented in other states, seeking innovative solutions that enhance access to medical care for all Georgians.

ATLANTA (June 12, 2023) | Tomorrow, the Senate Study Committee on Certificate of Need (CON) Reform, chaired by Senator Greg Dolezal (R – Cumming), will be holding its first meeting at 9:00 a.m. in 450 CAP. The Senate Study Committee on CON Reform was established through the passage of Senate Resolution 279, sponsored by Chairman Dolezal during the 2023 Georgia Legislative Session. The committee has been tasked with reviewing the state of the Certificate of Need program in Georgia. The committee will hold a series of meetings throughout the state, with future meeting dates to be announced at a later time.
