One of the most significant aspects of being a state lawmaker is our ability to produce change. We can create laws that take initiative and create new opportunities or we can mend the problems of our state. ATLANTA (March 26, 2010) – SB 496, The HOPE College Opportunity Grant, passed the Senate today with an overwhelming majority. Sen. Jack Hill (R-Reidsville), the bill’s author, went to bat for need based students throughout Georgia by proposing the grant which will be based solely on need.
