ATLANTA (September 19, 2016)  |  Sen. Michael Rhett (D – Marietta) participated in Dancing with the Stars Cobb County Saturday to help raise money for Loving Arms Cancer Outreach, which uses its resources to help cancer patients and their families. Sen. Rhett and his dance partner, Kari Carter, danced a two-step and were one of ten couples competing in the event, which raised over $70,000. Continue reading “Sen. I-75 dedicationATLANTA (August 31, 2016) | Senator Larry Walker III (R – Perry) co-hosted the official dedication of the Governor Sonny Perdue Highway on August 30, 2016. The event was attended by Guest of Honor, the Honorable Sonny Perdue and several leaders in the legislature, state and local community. During the event, Senate Appropriations Chairman Jack Hill (R – Reidsville) and United States Senator David Perdue (R – GA) expressed appreciation for Governor Perdue’s years of service to Georgia and for his family’s steadfast support. Sen. Renee Unterman Attends Safe Harbor Yes Press Conference

The campaign for the Safe Harbor Amendment was announced and coalition representatives encouraged citizens to vote yes. Sen. Jeff Mullis Appointed Chairman of Several Study Committees

ATLANTA (August 22, 2016)  |  Lt. Governor Casey Cagle selected Sen. Jeff Mullis (R- Chickamauga) to serve as Co-Chair of three Joint Study Committees and as Chair of two Senate Study Committees. Sen. Mullis will act as Co-Chair of the State Commission on Narcotic Treatment Programs, the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure and Vehicle Joint Study Committee and the Music Economic Development Joint Study Committee. In addition, Sen. Mullis will serve as Chair of the Senate Legislative Process Study Committee and the Senate Sexual Offender Registry Study Committee. Continue reading “Sen.
