Sen. Brandon Beach Introduces Legislation to Create Joint Senate and House Georgia Commission on Freight and Logistics

ATLANTA (January 16, 2019) | Today, Sen. Brandon Beach (R – Alpharetta) introduced legislation which would create the Joint Senate and House Georgia Commission on Freight and Logistics. The scope of the Commission would be to study the current state of the freight and logistics industries in Georgia and recommend actions or legislation to improve efficiency, safety and quality. Senator Zahra Karinshak Sworn into Office

ATLANTA (January 16, 2019) |Monday, Senator Zahra Karinshak (D – Duluth) took her oath of office administered by Supreme Court Justice Charles Bethel. Sen. Karinshak represents Georgia’s 48th Senate District which includes Duluth, Berkeley Lake, Johns Creek, Lawrenceville, Norcross, Peachtree Corners, Suwanee and Alpharetta. Monday’s ceremony marked the beginning of her two-year term in the Georgia Senate and the official beginning of the 2019 Georgia General Assembly.
