For generations, these moments have built character in our young people and pride in our hometowns. That same pride comes from knowing every athlete competes under fair rules, and that’s why I support making sure boys are not allowed to compete in girls’ sports.

Sen. Elena Parent to Hold Roundtable Discussion and Press Conference on Developments at CDC

ATLANTA (August 29, 2025) — On Tuesday, September 2, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Chair of the Senate Democratic Caucus, Sen. Elena Parent (D–Atlanta), will hold a roundtable discussion on the recent developments at the Center of Disease Control (CDC) alongside Representatives Omari Crawford (D–Decatur), Saira Draper (D–Atlanta), Imani Barnes (D–Tucker) and Mary Margaret Oliver (D–Decatur). Sen. Ed Harbison Welcomes WHINSEC Program Members to Georgia State Capitol

ATLANTA (August 29, 2025) — On Wednesday, August 27, Sen. Ed Harbison (D–Columbus) welcomed members of the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (WHINSEC) to the Georgia State Capitol.
