ATLANTA (March 3, 2014)  |  Senate Resolution 941, which urges Congress to increase the number of visas awarded to Korean citizens who work in certain specialty industries, passed the Georgia Senate today by a vote of 51 to 1. Senate Bill Passes Clarifying the Reporting Process for Missing Foster Children

ATLANTA (March 3, 2014) |   The Georgia State Senate passed Senate Bill 358, sponsored by Sen. John Albers (R-Roswell ), today by a vote of 46 to 0. If passed into law, SB 358 would expand who can file a missing child report with the Missing Children Information Center (MCIC) to include individuals and institutions charged with the care of foster children. Senate Bill Protecting Personal Information in Court Filings Passes Senate

ATLANTA (February 26, 2014) | The Georgia State Senate passed Senate Bill 386 today by a vote of 52 to 0. SB 386, sponsored by Sen. John Albers (R—Roswell), protects sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers, taxpayer ID numbers and financial account numbers, included in court filings. Sen. Albers Applauds Passage of Autism Insurance Coverage Legislation

ATLANTA (February 25, 2014)  |  Sen. John Albers (R –Roswell) applauds the passage of Senate Bill 397 today, which received a vote of  51 to 0. If adopted, this legislation will require insurers to provide coverage for children up to six years old who are diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder. Sen. Albers (R – Roswell) introduced similar legislation to SB 397, known as Ava’s Law, earlier last year and is one of the state’s strongest proponents for Autism Insurance Coverage.
