Joe Heckstall (D-East Point) and the Honorable Patsy Jo Hilliard, former mayor of East Point, to encourage schools, businesses and members of the faith community to make generous monetary donations to the citizens of Haiti.

ATLANTA (Jan. 8, 2010) – State Sen. Donzella James (D-Atlanta) will select 35 community leaders from the 35th district to participate in an Ambassador Round Table. The mission of the program is to make government more accessible and easier for constituents to understand by allowing community leaders to become a part of the process. Sen. James will attend the meetings and use the suggestions from the ambassadors to create legislation based on the needs of the community. No issue will be off limits during the meetings with topics ranging from education, the economy and health care.
