ATLANTA (March 6, 2024) — Tomorrow, March 7, Chairman of the Senate Committee of Higher Education Sen. Billy Hickman (R–Statesboro) will be holding a press conference alongside Chairman of the Senate Committee on Education and Youth Sen. Clint Dixon (R–Gwinnett), Rep. Bethany Ballard (R–Warner Robbins) and Chairman of the Georgia Council on Literacy Scott Johnson, to discuss Senate Bill 464, the “School Supplies for Teachers Act.”

House Majority Leader Chuck Efstration and Senator Clint Dixon Tout Bipartisan House Vote to Create City of Mulberry

ATLANTA – House Majority Leader Chuck Efstration (R-Auburn) and State Senator Clint Dixon (R-Gwinnett) applauded today’s bipartisan vote by the House on Senate Bill 333, legislation to create the City of Mulberry in northeastern Gwinnett County. If signed by Governor Kemp, SB 333 would place the question of cityhood on the spring primary ballot for residents in the proposed city.
