ATLANTA (January 11, 2018) | Sen. Emanuel Jones (D – Decatur) invites the public to attend the Martin Luther King, Jr. Advisory Council’s Annual Salute to Dr. King. Each year in January, the Martin Luther King Advisory Council, along with the Department of Community Affairs, sponsor a celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. King. This year’s event will include remarks by Georgia House of Representatives Speaker David Ralston and Kristie C. Raymer with the National Center for Civil and Human Rights. The keynote speech will be delivered by Rev. Gerald Durley. Also, several awards will be presented by Sen. Jones, Chair of Martin Luther King, Jr. Advisory Council.
