Joint Tax Credit Review Panel Gathers Insight from Key Manufacturers in Third Meeting

ATLANTA (September 25, 2023) | On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, the Joint Tax Credit Review Panel, Co-Chaired by Senator Chuck Hufstetler (R – Rome) and Representative Shaw Blackmon (R – Bonaire), conducted its third meeting at the Christopher Browning Pavilion at Oak Hill in Rome, Georgia. Sen. Freddie Powell-Sims and Senate Leaders Embark on Tour of Southwest Georgia

ATLANTA (September 22, 2023) | Yesterday, Senator Freddie Powell-Sims (D – Dawson) was joined by Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones, Senate President Pro Tempore John F. Kennedy (R – Macon) and Senator Matt Brass (R – Newnan) on a community tour of Albany, Georgia. This trip provided an interactive platform for legislators to connect with residents of Southwest Georgia at various stops across the region. Meetings took place with local citizens, entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals, educators and regional elected officials to further understand specific challenges that the community faces.

Sen. Freddie Powell-Sims and Lt. Governor Burt Jones Announce Tour and Media Availability in Southwest Georgia

ATLANTA (September 18, 2023) | Next week, Senator Freddie Powell-Sims (D – Dawson), Lt. Governor Jones, Senate President Pro Tempore John F. Kennedy (R – Macon), and additional members of the Senate body will gather in Albany, Georgia for a comprehensive community tour. Attendees will engage directly with the residents of Southwest Georgia through a number of stops around the area.

A significant part of the tour includes a walkthrough of Albany State University, during which the group will engage with academic leaders, students, and faculty to discuss how higher education impacts the region. Following the tour, there will be a media Q&A session. .
