A Citizenry Dependent on Government

There is a startling number of Americans who rely on government services these days. Approximately one in eight people receives food stamps, totaling a record enrollment of more than 41 million recipients in July. Over 4.4 million people depend on welfare. Millions live in government housing, and even more will soon rely on government as their sole provider of health care. Sen. James to Host “People Speak” Forums in Fulton County and Douglas County
ATLANTA (Nov. 4, 2010) – Sen. Donzella James (D-College Park) invites all local residents, community leaders and businesses to attend her “People Speaks” forums next week. The public is encouraged to share their input in preparation for the 2011 Legislative Session.
Fulton County constituents will have the opportunity to meet with James on Tuesday, Nov. 9. Department of Transportation Board members will be present to discuss transportation proposals for District 35.
