ATLANTA (March 1, 2017) | Sen. Michael Williams (R – Cumming) today led the passage of Senate Bill 147, which will allow cemeteries to request that income from a perpetual care trust fund be distributed according to unitrust distribution method provisions. This will permit cemeteries and cemetery companies to use up to four percent of the net fair market value of the trustees perpetual care trust funds for maintenance of cemetery grounds. Sen. Mullis Commends Senate for Passing Senate Bill 88
ATLANTA (February 24, 2017) | Senator Jeff Mullis (R – Chickamauga) sponsored Senate Bill 88, the Narcotic Treatment Programs Enforcement Act, which overwhelmingly passed the Georgia Senate on Thursday. This important legislation establishes much needed regulations for narcotic treatment programs.
