ATLANTA (November 13, 2019) | The third and final meeting of the Senate Athletic Association Study Committee will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. in room 307 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building.
Sen. Bruce Thompson (R – White) serves as chairman of the Senate Athletic Association Study Committee created by the passage of Senate Resolution 304 during the 2019 Legislative Session. The five members on the committee will review funding for the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) and the current structure of interscholastic athletic events to recommend action or legislation the committee believes to be necessary. The committee must report its findings on or before December 1, 2019.
