ATLANTA (March 28, 2018) | Sen. John Albers (R – Roswell) recognized the STAR House Foundation with a Point of Personal Privilege in the Senate Chamber and the presentation of Senate Resolution 973 in the Capitol on Tuesday, March 27, 2018.
“I was so honored to present members of the STAR House Foundation with a Senate Resolution as a small way to say thank you for the big changes they are making in the lives our students,” said Sen. Albers. “This foundation allows students who may need a little extra help to receive that attention and care that all of our students deserve. The leaders in this foundation commit themselves to these students not only through academia, but also serve as overall role models. It was my pleasure to give them a tour of the state Capitol and I look forward to seeing the foundation continue to grow.”
The STAR House Foundation helps build upon students’ education and achievement by providing after-school tutoring and a mentoring program. Members of the STAR House Foundation, including the Board of Directors, as well as the Fulton County School Board and one delegate from each of the four schools who work with the foundation were recognized for their commitment to the academic success of children throughout North Fulton County.
