ATLANTA (January 11, 2017) | State Sen. Jesse Stone (R-Waynesboro) was officially sworn into office Monday by Court of Appeals Judge Charlie Bethel, a former Senate colleague of Sen. Stone.
“I am honored that the people of District 23 have elected me to serve as their state senator for a fourth term,” said Sen. Stone. “I look forward to a productive session that will benefit District 23, as well as the state of Georgia as a whole.”
Monday was the first day of the first term of the 154th Legislative Session of the Georgia General Assembly. The swearing-in ceremony took place at 10:00 a.m. on the floor of the Georgia Senate Chamber.
