ATLANTA (Jan. 25, 2010) – Sen. Chip Pearson (R-Dawsonville) will co-chair a joint Economic Development Committee meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 26 with Rep. Ron Stephens (R-Savannah) to focus on job creation in Georgia. The meeting will be streamed live on the Georgia General Assembly’s website at www.legis.ga.gov.
The Economic Development committees will be joined by the Special Committee on Small Business Development and Job Creation, a new standing House committee devoted to examining proposals to promote small business and job creation in Georgia. The committees will hear from Robert Prechter, president of Elliot Wave International, the world’s largest market forecasting firm; Dr. Roger C. Tutterow, chief economic advisor to The Henssler Financial Group and professor of economics at Mercer University; Dr. Michael Toma, professor of economics at Armstrong Atlantic State University; and Eugene James, director of the Atlanta Region Metro Study.
