Washington can’t ignore the Will of the People

ATLANTA (March 26, 2010) – Congress’ passage of national health care reform proves that despite speaking loudly, Americans’ voices were not heard in Washington.  For the 59 percent of Americans who did not want Washington to pass such reform, we have been abandoned by a government that used to work for us, not against us.  Our nation’s leaders continue to run this country based on leadership that ignores the will of the people.  After seizing control of the automobile industry, Washington has stolen control of our health care industry with bribery and arm-twisting and soon will be attempting to highjack environmental trade practices.  Americans cannot and will not stand for such blatant disregard of their voices.  Our pocketbooks, our families and our future simply cannot afford it any longer.

Senate Approves Davis’ Golf Hall of Fame, Public Safety Measures

ATLANTA (Mar. 26, 2010) – The Georgia Senate overwhelmingly joined Sen. Hardie Davis (D-Augusta) Friday in support of two important pieces of legislation authored by the Augusta legislator.  Davis’ bills focused on ending the state-run Georgia Golf Hall of Fame Authority (Senate Bill 449) and improving oversized vehicle safety on Georgia’s roads (Senate Bill 526). Sen. Judson Hill’s Healthcare Choice Expansion Passes Senate

MARIETTA (Mar. 26, 2010) – Legislation aimed at increasing competition among heath insurance providers by expanding Georgian’s private healthcare choices outside the state passed the Georgia Senate Wednesday.  State Sen. Judson Hill (R-Marietta) authored Senate Bill 407 that would allow Georgia healthcare customers to buy approved out-of-state healthcare insurance plans.  Continue reading “Sen.
