COVID-19 Vaccination Facility to Open in Habersham County

ATLANTA (February 22, 2021) | Last week, Governor Brian Kemp announced the opening of four state-run mass vaccination facilities for COVID-19, including one located in Habersham County. Located in Clarkesville at the Habersham County Fairgrounds, the facility will begin operations on Monday, February 22 and will have the goal of administering 1,100 vaccines per day, totaling 22,000 vaccines each week.

Update from the Capitol: Week 6

As we reach roughly the halfway point of the legislative session, our work is beginning to accelerate and the Senate has been efficient, yet also deliberate, in our efforts to pass legislation. Sen. Dean Burke and Rep. Darlene Taylor Announce Funding for Wastewater System Infrastructure in Cairo, Ga.

ATLANTA (February 19, 2021) | Today, State Senator Dean Burke (R – Bainbridge) and State Representative Darlene Taylor (R – Thomasville) announced that the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority has approved a $800,000 loan through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) for improving the wastewater system infrastructure for the city of Cairo, Ga.
