Update from the Capitol: Week 10

Our time here is seeming to go by in the blink of an eye and although we are less than two weeks away from our final day, we’re continuing to work hard to serve the great people of this state. Our days in Chamber, voting on legislation, have slowed down since last speaking with you, but much of those energies have been redirected to committee meetings. Each one of the bills we have still standing play a critical role in your lives and we are continuing to listen to you to understand your priorities in our remaining time left. As the Senate nears the end of the legislative session, we’re rapidly working to make sure our promises to you are accomplished by Sine Die.

Senator Clint Dixon and other Elected Officials to Hold Press Conference in Support of House Bill 128

ATLANTA (March 23, 2021) | Sen. Clint Dixon (R – Gwinnett), along with Rep. Rick Williams (R – Milledgeville), Rep. Asian American Pacific Islander State Legislators Introduce Legislation in Response to Shootings

ATLANTA (March 23, 2021) | State Senators Michelle Au (D – Johns Creek) and Sheikh Rahman (D – Lawrenceville), along with State Representatives Bee Nguyen (D – Atlanta), Sam Park (D – Lawrenceville) and Marvin Lim (D – Norcross), today announced a series of bills in response to the recent shootings in the metro Atlanta region. Sen. Dean Burke Announces Donalsonville Municipal Airport Rehabilitation

ATLANTA (March 18, 2021) | Sen. Dean Burke (R – Bainbridge) is proud to announce the rehabilitation project of the Donalsonville Municipal Airport located in Seminole County, Georgia. The Donalsonville-Seminole County Airport Commission will be responsible for the engineering design services required for the airport rehabilitation.
