Students from The Lighthouse School Visit the Capitol

ginnATLANTA (January 21, 2014) | Senator Frank Ginn (R – Danielsville) welcomed students from The Lighthouse School to the Capitol on Wednesday, January 15.

“I’m happy their teacher—my brother, Charles Ginn—brought some of his students to sit in the gallery of the Senate Chamber and tour the Capitol,” said Sen. Ginn.  “It’s always great to see students experience first-hand what they learn in class about Georgia’s history and government.”

The Lighthouse is a non-traditional learning center that encourages students to become independent learners. The school offers fifth through twelfth grade programs.

The Georgia General Assembly strongly encourages Georgia residents to visit the most important government building in the state. Tour information can be found online at www.libs.uga.edu/capitolmuseum. Residents of District 47 can also contact Sen. Ginn’s office regarding Capitol visits at 404-656-4700.
