ATLANTA (July 22, 2020) | Sen. Gail Davenport (D – Jonesboro) announced today that she will be participating in a mobile sickle cell clinic sponsored by the Sickle Cell Foundation and hosted by Dixon Grove Baptist Church. Walk-ins are welcome, and a certified hematologist will be on-site.
“I am looking forward to attending this event aimed at furthering access to sickle cell testing,” said Sen. Davenport. “Identifying sickle cell disease early on is critical to an individual’s long-term health and well-being. I applaud the Sickle Cell Foundation and Dixon Grove Baptist Church for working to expand testing within the Jonesboro community.”
Testing will be conducted in the parking lot of the Dixon Grove Baptist Church on Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Those who would like to schedule an appointment can do so by contacting Danina Battle at (404)-662-9640.
