Senator Ed Harbison Hosts Georgia Military Veterans’ Hall of Fame

ATLANTA (February 3, 2020) | Sen. Ed Harbison (D – Columbus) recently hosted the Georgia Military Veterans’ Hall of Fame (GMVHOF) Class of 2019 at the state Capitol for an unveiling ceremony of recent inductees. This year’s class contains 15 active and inactive service men and women who have been nominated for their display of valor, courage and service. Sen. Harbison is an inductee of the GMVHOF Class of 2014.

“As an inductee myself, I cannot tell you what an absolute honor it is to stand before some of our state’s most valiant citizens,” said Sen. Harbison. “Our veterans have dedicated their lives to a line of service and have committed some of the most personal sacrifices. Their acts of courage and resilience cannot go unnoticed. I thank them for their service and welcome them to Georgia’s strong and supportive veteran community. I am proud to be able to represent you.”

GMVHOF is a nonprofit organization that seeks to recognize and honor the service Georgia military veterans gave to their state and nation. According to the mission of GMVHOF, this group of honorable men and women “exists only to honor Georgia veterans and to educate Georgia youth and citizens about real heroes.”
