Senator Donzella James to Sponsor “Peace Road 2020: Reconciling All People” Visit to Atlanta

ATLANTA (July 28, 2020) | Sen. Donzella James (D – Atlanta) announced today that she is sponsoring the “Peace Road 2020: Reconciling All People” tour stop at the Georgia State Capitol. A press conference will be held on August 5 at 11 a.m. on the South Wing Capitol Steps, with a ceremony in Liberty Plaza to follow. The tour is being hosted by the Universal Peace Federation and supported by the American Clergy Leadership Conference of Georgia.

“In a time of civil unrest, this tour seeks to inspire unity and hope,” said Sen. James. “I am honored to be sponsoring the tour stop in Atlanta, which is one of the most influential cities of the civil rights movement.”

“Peace Road 2020: Reconciling All People” will be conducting a four-week tour starting on July 28 and ending on August 21, visiting sites throughout the United States that honor individuals who overcame injustice and tragedy.
