Sen. Tyler Harper Announces Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant Recommendation

ATLANTA (March 9, 2018)  | Sen. Tyler Harper (R – Ocilla) recently announced that the city of Douglas, Georgia in Coffee County has been selected to advance to the next phase of grant funding for the creation of Miracle Field at Wade Davis Park.

“I am thrilled to hear that this project has been selected to move on to the next step in the process,” said Sen. Harper. “Miracle Field is a much needed addition to the community around the city of Douglas and this grant will get us one step closer to making it a reality. I want to thank all those involved that got us this far and I will do all I can to ensure we secure the grant funding we need.”

Miracle Field at Wade Davis Park will allow children and adults with special needs to participate in organized athletics. The Land and Water Conservation Grant being sought totals $100,000. The next phase of grant funding includes a formal application submitted to the Department of Interior- National Park Service, who will then give final approval on the grants.
