Sen. Tonya Anderson Sworn in as State Senator

A4Q8A0261 croppedTLANTA (January 12, 2017)  |   Senator Tonya Anderson (D- Lithonia) was sworn into office as a Georgia State Senator by Court of Appeals Judge Charlie Bethel in a ceremony at the State Capitol on Monday, Jan. 9, 2017.

“I am privileged to be serving my constituents in DeKalb, Newton and Rockdale counties again, this time as a state Senator,” said Sen. Anderson. “I look forward to working alongside my fellow senators to create meaningful legislation that has a positive impact on the lives of all Georgians. Through hard work and faith in God, I believe we will have a productive and successful legislative session.”

The ceremony marks Sen. Anderson’s first term as a state Senator. She represents Senate District 43 which includes portions of DeKalb, Newton and Rockdale counties.
