Sen. Ross Tolleson Appointed to the Agricultural Exposition Authority Overview Committee

ATLANTA (June 4, 2015)  |  Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle appointed Sen. Ross Tolleson (R- Perry) to the Agricultural Exposition Authority Overview Committee Wednesday. This committee is responsible for overseeing the Georgia Agriculture Exposition Authority and its management of the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter.

“I am honored to have been appointed to the Agricultural Exposition Authority Overview Committee,” said Sen. Tolleson. “The Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter has had an incredible impact on Georgia’s economy and I look forward to working with the other committee members to ensure its future success.”

The Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter is a state-owned, multipurpose rental complex open year-round. It contains over 1,100 acres that are specially designed for meetings, conferences, trade shows, livestock and horse shows, concerts, rodeos and RV rallies. It is also home to the official, state-sponsored Georgia National Fair held the fifth Thursday after Labor Day.

Since its opening in June 1990, the Agricenter has attracted about 18 million people generating an estimated economic impact in excess of $1.5 billion.
