Sen. Mike Dugan Recognizes the Centennial Anniversary of Fort Benning

ATLANTA (February 9, 2018) | Sen. Mike Dugan (R – Carrollton) and members of the Senate recognized the 100th anniversary of Fort Benning on February 7, 2018, at the state Capitol.

“The establishment of Fort Benning is something that is extremely important to me,” said Sen. Dugan. “Having been stationed there myself in my time in the military, I can recognize and be thankful for the opportunities it gives the men and women serving our country to learn and grow as individuals and as a team first-hand. I applaud the leaders of this establishment and all of the men and women stationed in Fort Benning for their dedication and sacrifice to our country.”

Service men and women were presented with Senate Resolution 616 honoring the establishment of Fort Benning and the hard work that the Columbus Chamber of Commerce and citizens of Columbus, Georgia put in to creating and maintaining the honorable establishment of Fort Benning.
