Sen. Larry Walker Welcomes Bleckley County FFA to the State Capitol

ATLANTA (November 15, 2018)  |  On Tuesday, November 13th, Sen. Larry Walker (R – Perry) was joined by Sen. John Wilkinson (R – Toccoa), chairman of the Senate Agriculture and Consumer Affairs Committee, to welcome Louie Lumley, Seth DuBois, Tucker Felkins and Jacob Smith from the national championship winning Bleckley County FFA Agriculture Technology and Mechanical Systems Team to the Senate chamber.

“It was an honor to host such a successful and well-rounded group of young men at the state capitol,” said Sen. Walker. “Members of Georgia FFA continuously make us proud in District 20 and across the State, and this group is no different. We are fortunate to have such a bright group representing us nationally and I look forward to seeing all the great things they accomplish over the next several years.”

The Bleckley County FFA Agriculture Technology and Mechanical Systems Team recently won the FFA Agricultural Technology and Mechanical Systems Career Development Event at the 91st National FFA convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. Additionally, they won the state competition in March of this year with the guidance of their advisor, Dr. Walt Parks.
