Sen. Larry Walker Begins Second Term as State Senator

ATLANTA (January 11, 2017) | Sen. Larry Walker (R- Perry) was sworn into office as a Georgia State Senator by Court of Appeals Judge Charlie Bethel in a ceremony at the State Capitol on Monday, Jan. 9, 2017.

“I am humbled and thankful to once again be serving as State Senator for District 20,” said Sen. Walker. “Serving my district is a task I hold in high regard and I hope I can make my district proud by supporting legislation I believe will make the lives of every Georgian better. I look forward to another year serving as a State Senator for the district I have called home my entire life.”

Sen. Walker will serve as a member of the Agriculture and Consumer Affairs, Health and Human Services, Insurance and Labor, and Veterans, Military and Homeland Security committees.

The ceremony marks Sen. Walker’s second term as a State Senator. He represents Senate District 20 which includes Bleckley, Laurens and Pulaski Counties, and parts of Houston County.
