ATLANTA (January 3, 2017) | The Center for Security Policy announced last week that Senator Judson Hill (R – Marietta) was awarded their 2016 Defender of Freedom Award.

“It is an honor to receive this award from such a distinguished organization that works to protect and defend Americans,” said Sen. Hill. “I am committed to working with my colleagues and organizations across the country to defend our freedoms. We must do all we can to ensure our national security and safety at home remains a top priority. Our nation faces threats from around the world so we must remain vigilant in our efforts to train, prepare and stop any attacks on our soil.”

The Center for Security Policy’s Defender of Freedom Award is presented to public servants who provide service in support of America’s national security. This award is earned by legislators on the state level who recognize threats the United States faces and make legislative initiatives to prevent them. Sen. Hill was given this honor for his work over the years in the Georgia Senate, particularly with regard to Iran divestment legislation and anti-BDS legislation.
