Sen. Josh McKoon Participates in the Columbus State University “Howard Wall” Breaking Ceremony

McKoon (2)COLUMBUS (September 24, 2014)  |  Sen. Josh McKoon (R-Columbus), Columbus State University President Tim Mescon, state Representatives, faculty and staff took turns taking chunks out of the old wall in a unique “wall-breaking” ceremony.

“It is exciting to see the technology and building improvements happening at Columbus State University,” said Sen. McKoon. “The hard work and extraordinary vision of the university leadership are doing great, ambitious work.”

The ceremony is the start of a $3.95 million renovation of Howard Hall, CSU’s oldest classroom building.

Originally built in 1962, the renovated hall will become a contemporary facility by fall of 2015. The project includes technology upgrades, an elevator, additional bathrooms, a new common area, quieter heating and cooling units as well as aesthetic improvements.

Columbus State University’s Arnold Hall will receive a similar upgrade.
