Sen. Josh McKoon Named Recipient of Maverick PAC’s “40 Under 40” Award

ATLANTA (June 12, 2013) – The Maverick PAC (Mav PAC), a conservative political action committee, recently named Senator Josh McKoon (R-Columbus) a recipient of their inaugural “40 Under 40” Award.  Sen. Josh McKoon is one of Georgia’s youngest state senators and is well-known for his efforts to champion ethics reform. 

“It is an incredible honor to be recognized alongside some of the nation’s foremost conservative policy leaders and young professionals,” said Sen. McKoon. “The MavPAC is quickly becoming a national powerhouse in electing strong, principled conservatives and I’m humbled to be among such an outstanding group of young, up-and-coming leaders.”

In an award ceremony on July 12 -13 in Miami, Florida, Sen. Josh McKoon, along with other nationwide honorees, will be recognized by the MavPAC as the next generation of Republican leaders. Recipients come from a variety of backgrounds, including politics, business, law and entrepreneurship.

“As a recipient of a Maverick PAC 40 Under 40 award, it is clear that Senator McKoon is seen by his peers from across the country as a leader for the next-generation of Republicans. “Our members see his record of conservative leadership and successes in state government as indicative of the future contributions he will make as a national leader in our party,” said Maverick PAC Annual Conference Co-Chairman, Slater Bayliss.

With 20 chapters across the country, MavPAC is dedicated to advancing conservative policies through electing young, conservative leaders and engaging young professional Republicans to become actively involved in the political process.

Sen. Josh McKoon was among eight elected officials who were recognized throughout the nation and was the only elected official to represent Georgia.
