Sen. John Wilkinson Elected to Serve as Senate Majority Caucus Secretary

20120110 Sen WikinsonoriginalheadshotATLANTA (November 18, 2016) | State Senator John Wilkinson (R- Toccoa) was elected to serve as Secretary of the Senate Republican Caucus for the upcoming biennial legislative term of the Georgia General Assembly. In this role, Sen. Wilkinson will be responsible for recording all official legislative activities for the Senate Majority Caucus.    “I am grateful to have the opportunity to serve our caucus as secretary for another biennial term,” said Sen. Wilkinson. “I’m looking forward to continuing to work with the leadership team and the Senate to promote positive legislation designed to safeguard Georgia’s reputation as a great state to live, work and play.”

Sen. Wilkinson is currently the Chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee.  He is also the Vice-Chairman of the Education and Youth Committee, and a member of the Appropriations, Assignments,  and Natural Resources committees.

The first term of the 154th Legislative Session of the Georgia General Assembly will convene on January 9, 2017, at the Georgia State Capitol.
