Sen. John F. Kennedy Elected to Serve as Senate Majority Caucus Chair

Kennedy (R- Macon) was elected to serve as Caucus Chair of the Senate Republican Caucus for the upcoming biennial legislative term of the Georgia General Assembly. In this role, Sen. Kennedy will preside over caucus meetings and determine items to be placed on the agenda for the Senate Majority Caucus. 

“It is an honor to have the opportunity to serve as caucus chair for the Senate Majority,” said Sen. Kennedy. “I am humbled to have been chosen by my fellow colleagues to serve in this capacity. I look forward to working with members of the Senate to address important issues affecting Georgians. We will work together to ensure that the wellbeing, success and growth of all of our citizens remains a top priority.”

Sen. Kennedy previously served as one of Governor Nathan Deal’s Administrative Floor Leaders.  He is also the Vice-Chairman of the Science and Technology Committee, and a member of the Banking and Financial Institutions, Judiciary and Judiciary Non-Civil Committees.

The first term of the 154th Legislative Session of the Georgia General Assembly will convene on January 9, 2017, at the Georgia State Capitol.
