Sen. Jeff Mullis Receives “Most Influential” Honor from James Magazine

ATLANTA (April 10, 2014)  |  James magazine, one of Georgia’s leading publications discussing Georgia news and politics, has selected Sen. Jeff Mullis (R – Chickamauga) as one of the magazine’s “Most Influential Senators.” The recognition was announced in the March/April 2014 issue of the magazine, which profiled statewide leaders in business, government, politics, education, science and the arts.

“Although it is an honor to be recognized among Georgia’s top leaders, my accomplishments are only possible because of the ideas and feedback from constituents. Serving District 53 has been a privilege I’ve never taken lightly, and I’m humbled to have the responsibility of being a voice on important measures at the Georgia State Capitol,” said Sen. Mullis.

Sen. Mullis was recognized for his commitment to creating sound public policy for Georgia. During the 2014 legislative session, Sen. Mullis helped guide a number of measures to successful final approval by the Georgia General Assembly, including legislation that strengthens transportation safety laws, increases accountability standards for student athletic organizations and empowers local governments to set environmental protection standards.

Sen. Mullis was also named a “Most Influential Georgian” by Georgia Trend magazine in January 2014. In addition, he received James magazine’s “Legislator of the Year” title and received an A+ rating on the Georgia Chamber’s legislative scorecard in 2013.
