Sen. Hill Appointed to Serve on Georgia’s Health Care Reform Task Force

judsonhillheadshot08cATLANTA (January 10, 2017) | On Thursday, January 5, 2017, Senator Judson Hill (R – Marietta) was appointed by Lt. Governor Casey Cagle to serve on Georgia’s Health Care Reform Task Force.

“Americans are getting the change they demanded in our last election,” said Sen. Hill. “With a fellow Georgian, my friend Congressman Tom Price, set to administer our nation’s healthcare policies, we are in a great position to improve healthcare access and affordability for every Georgian. I believe there’s no greater or more urgent priority for Georgia and for the 2017 General Assembly than preparing to immediately implement a replacement for Obamacare. I have worked on patient-centered solutions for healthcare access that increase choice and decrease cost since I first came to the state Senate. Unfortunately Obamacare has taken us in the opposite direction. I appreciate this opportunity that Lt. Governor Cagle has given me to help get Georgia back on the right track.”

Senators Judson Hill, Renee Unterman, Dean Burke and Ben Watson will serve on Georgia’s Health Care Reform Task Force. The task force will bring in experts from around the state to offer testimony and provide recommendations. The Task Force will be guided by four key principles: patient’s first, patient drive, patient access and patient-specific.
