Sen. Harold Jones II to Serve on Senate Study Committee on Cyber Security Education

ATLANTA (October 10, 2017) | Senator Harold Jones II (D – Augusta) has been appointed to the Senate Study Committee on Cyber Security Education by Lt. Governor Casey Cagle. The committee is charged with examining the best way to incorporate cyber security education into a statewide education curriculum.

“It is only natural to have the first meeting of the committee in Augusta Georgia,” said Senator Jones II. “Under the leadership of Dr. Pringle, (Superintendent of Richmond County Schools) and Dr. Carraway (Superintendent of Columbia County) our community is making great strides in integrating cyber into our local school curriculum. Our committee will examine those best practices and use them and other practices as a model for the state to use. These are exciting times for our community and state and I look forward to serving on this important committee.”
