ATLANTA (January 20, 2017) | Sen. Harold Jones II (D – Augusta), was recently appointed by Democratic Whip Sen. Vincent Fort to serve as Chief Deputy Whip for the Democratic Caucus.
“I am honored to be appointed to serve as Chief Deputy Whip,” said Sen. Jones. “I look forward to working with our leaders in the Senate as we continue to find solutions to some of our state’s most pressing issues.”
Sen. Jones is beginning his second term in the State Senate and will also serve on the Judiciary, Special Judiciary, Public Safety and Economic Development and Tourism Committees.
