ATLANTA (February 20, 2015) | State Senator Harold Jones II (D – Augusta) released a statement today following Mayor Hardie Davis’ press conference regarding the reorganization of powers in Augusta-Richmond County government.
Sen. Jones’ statement:
“I am open to having a conversation on ways to improve our city and our government. I look forward to participating in a dialogue. I also look forward to engaging the Augusta community and hearing their thoughts.
“We share the common goal of making Augusta-Richmond County a better place to live, a better place to work, and a safer environment in which to raise children.”
Senator Jones represents Georgia’s 22nd senate district, which covers Augusta-Richmond County. He is also the former Solicitor General for Augusta-Richmond.
