Sen. Harold Jones Announces Beginning of Record Restriction Summit

ATLANTA (October 18, 2018) | Sen. Harold Jones II (D – Augusta) announced that the Augusta-Richmond County Record Restriction Summit will begin on October 20, 2018.

“The Record Restriction Summit, set for October 20, 2018, is set and ready for success,” said Sen. Jones. “It appears that we will restrict the records of around 300 individuals. This tremendous event could not have occurred without the collaborative efforts of all agency partners. I would like to give special thanks to Solicitor General Omeeka Loggins, Sheriff Richard Roundtree, District Attorney Natalie Paine, Clerk of Court Hattie Sullivan and Marshall Ramone Lamkin. Without their leadership this first in a lifetime event would not have been possible. We look forward to a successful day and remind the public that although the application process is closed, there will be information distributed which details how to obtain a record restriction and other criminal justice initiatives.”

The Record Restriction Summit will take place October 20, 2018, at Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Augusta, GA from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. For more information, follow this link: https://www.augustaga.gov/2678/Records-Restriction-Summit-2018
