Sen. Blake Tillery Takes Oath of Office as State Senator

4Q8A0187 CroppedATLANTA (January 12, 2017)  |  Senator Blake Tillery (R- Vidalia) was sworn into office as a Georgia State Senator by Court of Appeals Judge Charlie Bethel in a ceremony at the State Capitol on Monday, Jan. 9, 2017.

“I am humbled and honored to be representing the citizens of District 19,” said Sen. Tillery. “I am excited to effect changes in Georgia that will better the lives of our citizens. I believe our state has many wonderful things to look forward to in the future and I relish the opportunity to be a senator at the forefront of legislation and positive change for southeast Georgia.”

The ceremony marks Sen. Tillery’s first term as a State Senator. He represents Senate District 19 which includes Appling, Jeff Davis, Long, Montgomery, Telfair, Toombs, Treutlen, Wayne, and Wheeler counties and a portion of Liberty and Tattnall counties.
