Sen. Blake Tillery Recognizes Miss Georgia USA 2017

Miss GA USA Press ReleaseATLANTA (January 23, 2017)  |  Sen. Blake Tillery (R – Vidalia) recognized DeAnna Johnson, Miss Georgia USA 2017, with Senate Resolution 17 in the chamber on Monday, January 23, 2017.

“I am extremely proud of DeAnna’s accomplishments and wish her the best of luck in the Miss USA pageant in Las Vegas,” said Sen. Tillery. “She has represented the state and Southeast Georgia with grace and pride and I’m excited to have a native of District 19 serve as an ambassador on a national stage.”

Ms. Johnson is the daughter of Zach and Deborah Johnson and is a native of Hazlehurst in Jeff Davis County. She was crowned Miss Georgia USA 2017 in November and will represent Georgia at the Miss USA competition in Las Vegas. Johnson was also a contestant on season 8 of NBC’s “The Voice” and finished in the top 10.

The Miss USA Organization is a company run by women for women, built on a foundation of inclusion and strives to provide the tools which help women to be their personal best.
