Mrs. Janice L. Jones Participates in D.C. Women’s Summit

TLANTA (January 22, 2018) | Last week, Sen. Burt Jones’ wife, Miss Janice L. Jones, was invited to participate in A Conversation with the Women of America, a networking and discussion event hosted by the White House.

“I am proud of my wife for her successes and for her invitation to be part of such a distinguished panel,” said Sen. Jones. “I know she was honored to attend this important event and that she was able to learn a lot from the other panelists. As a strong female role model in our home, local community and her business, I am glad she was able to share her experiences and point of view to empower other women in the workforce.”

The panelists and speakers at the three-part event included many high-level female members of the Trump Administration such as Ivanka Trump, Advisor to the President, Linda McMahon, Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, Elain Chao, U.S. Secretary of Transportation, Kristjen Nielson, U.S. Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Heather Wilson, Secretary of the Air Force and many more.

According to White House spokeswoman Lindsey Walters, the discussions on the national state of the economy, healthcare and security all focused on “what has been accomplished to date to advance women at home, and in the workplace,” during the first year of the Trump administration.

Mrs. Jones is an extremely distinguished professional in her own right and has had a very successful career. In addition to working for many years as an investment banker and financial analyst, she now specializes in animal rights advocacy. She is also the founder of Butts Mutts, a non-profit organization based in middle Georgia, which focuses on placing and caring for abandoned dogs.
