Larry Walker, Jr. Officially Sworn In As State Senator

4Q8A8658 cropATLANTA (December 18, 2015)  |  Senator Larry Walker, Jr. (R- Kathleen) was officially sworn into his first term as a Georgia State Senator by Houston County Superior Court Judge George Nunn during a ceremony at the State Capitol Friday. Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle presided. 

“I feel incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to represent the community I love so much at the Georgia Capitol,” said Sen. Walker. “I am committed to representing Georgia’s Senate District 20 and the interests and values of my constituents. I am excited to be a part of Georgia’s Senate and look forward to the challenges ahead.”

The ceremony marked the beginning of Senator Walker’s tenure as a state senator. He represents Senate District 20 which includes Bleckley, Laurens and Pulaski Counties, and parts of Houston County. The second session of the 153rd Georgia General Assembly will begin Monday, January 11, 2016.
