General Electric Appliances to bring Jobs to Murray County

ATLANTA (June 20, 2019) | Today, GE Appliances (GEA) announced an expansion in Georgia that will bring a total of 300 jobs to Walker, Murray and Jackson Counties.

“GE expanding its footprint in Georgia, and specifically in Murray County, will provide more than job opportunities in our community,” said Sen. Chuck Payne (R – Dalton). “The new logistics center being built in Murray County is one example of the growth and innovation we are experiencing in north Georgia and I look forward to seeing the new opportunities GEA will provide for our citizens. I am confident that Murray County and other parts of north Georgia will continue to prosper as more companies and innovators recognize the multitude of opportunities we have to offer.”

GEA announced a $43 million investment in the Roper Corporation facility in Walker County, a $32 million investment to build a new Southern Logistics Center in Murray County and a $55 million investment in a smart warehouse in Jackson County.
