ATLANTA (October 27, 2017)  |  Sen. John Wilkinson (R – Toccoa), along with Sen. Jeff Mullis (R – Chickamauga), Sen. Steve Gooch (R – Dahlonega) and Sen. Butch Miller (R – Gainesville), recently met with U.S. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue in Washington, D.C., to present him with a resolution congratulating him on his recent cabinet appointment. Sen. John Wilkinson Leads Ag Issues Summit

ATLANTA (September 8, 2017) | Sen. John Wilkinson (R – Toccoa) and Rep. Tom McCall (R – Elberton) chaired the annual Joint Agriculture Committee Chairmen Ag Issues Summit at the Museum of Agriculture in Tifton on Wednesday, August 23, 2017. The summit featured speakers and presentations from stakeholders across the state who discussed the future of agriculture policy and issues in Georgia.

Sen. John Wilkinson Presented Outstanding Service Award by GVATA

ATLANTA (July 28, 2017)  |  Sen. John Wilkinson (R – Toccoa) was recently named the Outstanding Service Award winner by the Georgia Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association (GVATA) at their Summer Leadership Conference. He was also named the Region V national award winner by the National Association of Agricultural Educators (NAAE) and will be formally presented with the award at the NAAE national conference in December.

Sen. John Wilkinson Appointed to COPS Task Force

ATLANTA (May 25, 2017)  |  Sen. John Wilkinson (R – Toccoa) was recently appointed to the Compensation of Police and Sheriffs (COPS) Task Force by Lt. Governor Casey Cagle. The responsibility of the COPS Task Force is to examine the compensation needs of law enforcement officers and to consider ways to encourage retention and attract service in the field.
